Our Story
The Baluarte Spirits emblem is inspired by Tlalpanhuéhuetl de Malinalco, where one of its representations is the god Xochipilli-Macuilxóchitl. He wears an eagle costume whose wings are attached to a twist (interlaced element), under which eight chalchíhuitl are seen, which for the Mexica were a symbol of a precious object.
Below the peak of the costume and on each side of the feet is the glyph cuícatl, song. The god carries a fan in one hand and a rattle in the other, and on both wrists, an ornament with a flower and ribbons, ornaments with which he appears in some codices.
